Severe weather in the Oklahoma City area Monday afternoon put the Sooner Athletic Conference baseball tournament behind schedule and forced the rearrangement of several games. Rogers State’s elimination game with Northwestern State has been moved to Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. The Hillcats and Rangers were originally scheduled to play Monday night at 7 p.m. However, heavy rains and tornado warnings in Oklahoma City forced a nearly two-hour rain delay during the Oklahoma City vs. Northwestern game Monday afternoon. OCU eventually pulled out a 15-13 victory. RSU lost its opening round game to Lubbock Christian after the Chaparrals rallied for five runs in the ninth inning to post a 12-8 win. The loser of Tuesday morning’s contest will be eliminated from postseason play while the winner will advance to play another game Tuesday at 7 p.m. All games will be played at Jim Wade Stadium on the campus of OCU. The Hillcats’ game against the Rangers will be carried live on RSU Radio 91.3 FM and online at www.rsuhillcats.com.
