Five members of the Rogers State baseball team received honors from the Sooner Athletic Conference for the 2010 season.

Senior pitcher Grant Cosby represented the Diamond Cats on the all-conference first team after posting an 8-3 record during his final season on the Hill. The Fayetteville, Ark., native led RSU in wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts and completed his career as the Cats’ all-time leader in pitching victories.

Senior designated hitter Zach Hamby and junior reliever Jordan Clark were named to the second team. Hamby paced the RSU offense with 10 home runs in 2010 and etched his name in the record books as the school’s all-time leader in hits, homers and RBI. Clark set a team single-season record for saves with six and made a staff-high 19 appearances on the season.

Senior centerfielder Tyler Harold and junior third baseman Colton West were selected for the SAC Gold Glove team. Harold made just one error in 46 starts in the outfield while West committed 12 errors as RSU’s everyday third baseman.

Lubbock Christian’s Nathan Blackwood was named the conference coach of the year after leading the Chaps to a regular season conference title and a 43-16 record. LCU catcher Joe Staley earned player of the year accolades.
