Gammill Garners Second Weekly Heartland Award

WACO, Texas – For the second time this season, Rogers State's Cody Gammill was named Heartland Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday.

The sophomore extended the Hillcats' unbeaten streak to four matches behind another pair of shutouts on the week. He held St. Mary's off the score sheet for 90 minutes in a 1-0 win, making six saves Thursday.

A native of Frisco, Texas, Gammill followed that with a 110-minute, six-save performance Saturday at Texas A&M International in a 0-0 draw.

Gammill has not allowed a goal in 328 minutes posting three-straight shutouts and ranks second in the Heartland Conference with a 0.79 goals against average as RSU has allowed only 12 goals in 14 matches this season.

The Hillcats are back on the field Tuesday afternoon hosting Lindenwood for a 2 p.m. matinee at Soldier Field. The match is available live on the Hillcat Network at www.rsuhillcats.com/live.
