WACO, Texas – Rogers State's Carley Conley was named Heartland Conference Softball Hitter of the Week after a brilliant performance during a four-game week.
 
The senior led the Hillcats to a Heartland Conference sweep at Oklahoma Panhandle State posting a .600 batting average (9-for-15) and a 1.133 slugging percentage totaling 17 bases in 15 at-bats. She tallied at least one hit and one run in each of the four wins, including multi-hit and run games in each of the final three contests.
 
A native of Paris, Texas, Conley belted her first two home runs of the season in the series finale Sunday going 3-for-4 at the plate driving in four runs. She closed the weekend with seven runs scored and seven RBI adding a triple in game three. Conley also swiped three bases in three tries and was perfect in the field for RSU.
 
The honor marks the second time a Hillcat hitter has earned the award since joining the Heartland Conference after Candace Monigold picked it up March 24 last season.
