WACO, Texas – After posting three-consecutive wins, Rogers State's
Danko Kenjic and
Cody Gammill swept the Heartland Conference Men's Soccer weekly awards as announced by the league office Monday.
Kenjic put together a 10-point effort for the week on four goals and two assists earning Offensive Player of the Week honors. The senior from Zemun, Serbia tallied back-to-back, two-goal performances against Southwest Baptist and Ouachita Baptist before closing the week with an assist Sunday against Harding. That assist broke the school record for career assists with the 18th of his tenure.
Gammill backstopped all three Hillcat victories on his way to being named Defensive Player of the Week. The sophomore did not allow a goal in 215 minutes of action making 10 saves. A native of Frisco, Texas, Gammill posted a shutout against Harding, the third of his career and combined for a shutout in RSU's first road match at Ouachita Baptist.
