CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State men's and women's golf both stayed put in the top five in the second NCAA Division II Regional Rankings, which were released on Friday.
On the women's side, the Hillcats remained in at No. 4 in the Central Region and are the second highest MIAA team behind No. 2 Central Missouri and ahead of No. 6 Northeastern State, No. 8 Central Oklahoma and No. 11 Nebraska Kearney. In total, the MIAA is represented by five of the 11 teams in the rankings.
RSU will host the NCAA Division II Women's Central Region Championships on May 6-8 in Bartlesville, Okla. at Hillcrest Country Club.
The Hillcat men held firm in the No. 5 spot in the Central Region but moved up to the second highest MIAA team behind No. 1 Central Oklahoma and ahead of No. 6 Missouri Southern, No. 7 Central Missouri and No. 11 Missouri Western. Like the women, the MIAA held five of the 11 spots in the rankings.
The NCAA Division II Men's Central/Midwest Super Region Championships will be held on May 9-11 in Edmond, Okla. at KickingBird Golf Club and hosted by Central Oklahoma.
The NCAA Division II Central Region is made up of teams from three conferences: the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the Great American Conference and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
