CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State men's golf heard their name called on Friday as they earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Region Championships on May 9-11 in Edmond, Okla. at the KickingBird Golf Club.
The Central Region is composed of the MIAA, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and Great American Conference. Ten teams from the three leagues along with four individuals will join with 10 teams and four individuals from the Midwest Region to form the 20 team, 90 individual field.
The Hillcats are one of five MIAA schools to qualify for the regional and will be joined Central Oklahoma, Missouri Southern (who earned the automatic bid by winning the MIAA Championships), Central Missouri and Northeastern State.
The top five teams and the top two individuals not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals on May 21-25 at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Winter Garden, Fla.
