CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State softball's Sara Llamas-Howell and Callie Yellin earned Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Region honors, the organization announced on Monday.
 
Llamas-Howell was named First Team All-Central Region for the second straight season. The MIAA Pitcher of the Year once again dominated opponents in the circle, helping the Hillcats clinch a share of the regular season title for the first time in program history. The Pawnee, Okla. product owned the second-best regular season ERA (1.44) and opposing batting average (.193) in the MIAA. She led all league pitchers with 52 batters struck out looking, tied for the second-most wins with 19, and ranked in the league's top 10 in innings pitched (146.1), total batters struck out (143), and fewest runs allowed (40). She finished the regular season with a record of 19-6.
 
Callie Yellin was named Second Team All-Central Region. The Farmersville, Texas product finished the regular season as one of the MIAA's most prolific hitters, with a .310 average and 22 extra base hits. The senior ranks among the top 10 in the MIAA in multiple categories including home runs (13), RBI (43) and slugging percentage (.632). She also leads RSU with 34 runs scored.
 
The Hillcats continue their postseason journey as they stay at home and host Augustana in the best-of-three Super Regionals beginning on Tuesday, May 14. First pitch for game one is set for 12 p.m. at the Diamond Sports Complex.
