RSU Women Breeze Past Mid America Christian

CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State scored four times in the first half and cruised to a 5-2 win over Mid America Christian at a soggy Soldier Field on Monday.
 

Tiffany Roberts put the Hillcats on the scoreboard seven minutes into the match on an assist from Vanessa Oxford. RSU benefited from an own goal by the Lady Evangels to make it 2-0. Oxford and Heather Joplin added goals to give the Hillcats a 4-0 advantage at the break.
 

Lauren Patrick made it 4-1 with the Lady Evangels first goal with 28:53 remaining in the match. Robin Sutherland answered with her 37th goal of the season on a corner kick from Kacie Hohenber. MAC's Lindsey McKinney scored just before the final horn to reach the final margin, 5-2.
 

RSU completed the regular season with an impressive 15-2 record and will await seeding for the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament. The Hillcats will host their first round match on Saturday at Soldier Field. The opponent and game time will be announced later this week.
