CLAREMORE, Okla. - It was the same story-different verse for Rogers State on Monday as Robin Sutherland scored three times and the Hillcats rolled to a 6-1 win over Oklahoma Baptist at Soldier Field.
Â
RSU led 1-0 at the half before Sutherland put on another offensive clinic in the second period. She broke a 1-1 tie with a breakaway goal on a perfect pass from Vanessa Oxford early in the second half. Carey Cloud gave RSU a 3-1 advantage with a bullet into the back of the net with 25:14 remaining in the contest. Sutherland added her second goal on a penalty kick, then put the game out of reach on a header from Kacie Hohenberger with 16:46 left to play.
Freshman Jessica Zambrano finished off the Lady Bison with a goal inside the two-minute mark to reach the final margin, 6-1.
Â
The three-goal effort marked the fourth hat trick of the season for Sutherland. She has 24 goals in 12 games on the year and has scored in every RSU game this season. The Hillcats improved to 11-1, 5-1 in conference play with the win and extended their winning streak to eight games.

RSU will host Ozark Christian in a non-conference match at Soldier Field on Thursday. The match is slated for 5 p.m.
