WINFIELD, Kan. - Rogers State bounced back from a pair of heartbreaking losses with a 1-0 victory over Southwestern College Monday in Winfield, Kan.

The Hillcats closed out the regular season with their 13th win thanks to a game winning goal from freshman Emily Givan. Givan scored the only goal of the match in the 75th minute on an assist from Jessica May. It was the Broken Arrow product's team leading 12th goal of the season, despite the fact that she missed eight games due to injury.

Bailey Lynn and Jessica McCutcheon combined for six saves to post the eighth shutout of the season for the Hillcats.

Rogers State (13-5, 6-4) will play Oklahoma Christian in the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament Saturday. Game time and location will be announced Wednesday.
