CLAREMORE, Okla. - Rogers State and Friends University (Kan.) battled intensely for 110 minutes before settling for a 0-0 draw at Soldier Field in Claremore, Okla. Saturday.

It marked the first scoreless match in the brief history of Hillcat soccer. The game was about as closely contested as it gets. Both teams posted 13 total shots with RSU managing one more shot on goal than the visitors. Sophomore goalie Sean Surridge played brilliantly for the Hillcats. He tallied six saves, including two key stops near the end of regulation.

Likewise, Friends goalkeeper Chris O'Hearn turned the Cats away seven times as Ryan Coffman, Bryce Taylor and Victor Brown tested him two times each. The Hillcats continued their defensive dominance by posting their fifth consecutive shutout.

Rogers State (6-1-1, 1-0) returns to conference play Tuesday night against St. Gregory's. The Hillcats will host the Cavaliers at Soldier Field in a match scheduled for 8 p.m.
