SHAWNEE, Okla. - The Rogers State men's soccer team registered a 2-0 victory over Sooner Athletic Conference opponent St. Gregory's University on Tuesday afternoon in Shawnee.
Senior Griffin Kane gave the Hillcats a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute with his first goal of the season with an assist by Marko Bukva.
Senior Henrique Sousa blasted a goal in the 79th minute of play to seal the 2-0 win over the Cavaliers.
RSU outshot SGU 18-6 and posted 12 shots on frame in the game. Junior Nathan Inger posted the shutout victory for the Hillcats as he registered three saves.
Rogers State (9-6-1, 4-3-1) returns to the pitch on Saturday as they host Oklahoma Baptist 7 p.m. The Hillcat will honor the seniors in their final match at Soldier Field. The game will be broadcast on www.rsuhillcat.com/live.
