CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Rogers State women's soccer team returned to its winning ways on Tuesday afternoon as the Hillcats registered a 6-0 win over Southwestern Christian in Bethany, Okla.
RSU found the back of the net early and often as sophomore Jordan Beasley gave the Hillcats a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute of play off a corner kick.
Senior Lauren Hager double the Hillcats lead in the 21st minute. Beasley dribbled towards the keeper and passed the ball to Hager who slotted it in the goal. Hager, a Belgrade, Mont. native, added RSU's third goal just two minutes later, scoring off a keeper deflection.
Freshman Raquel Chavez made it a 4-0 game before intermission as she dribbled past the keeper and past the ball into the net.
Melissa Subu kept the scoring going in the second stanza as she found the back of the net in the 52nd minute. Beasley rounded out the scoring with a goal in the 80th minute.
The Hillcats fired 15 shots on frame in the contest while the RSU defense allowed SCU just three shots on goal.
Jordan Harris and Sarah Schneider split time in goal for the Hillcats, combining for three saves.
