WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Rogers State men's soccer team was unable to tame the Midwestern State Mustangs as the Hillcats lost 2-0 at MSU Soccer Field Sunday.
A pair of Len Smith goals were enough to damage the HIllcats' hopes of victory. Smith first struck in the 37th minute as Griff Stratford cross from the right wing to Idrissa Camara who found the feet of Smith for the goal. The Mustangs found the back of the net as Chase Robertson's right wing cross found Smith for goal number two in the 49th minute.
MSU outshot the Hillcats 25-7 as Hillcat goal keeper Joey Arnold totaled six saves in the start. Nick Petolick made two saves in the match for MSU.
Rogers State (1-4) will host Bacone College Tuesday, Sept. 24 at Soldier Field in Claremore, Okla. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. with live video streaming scheduled on the Hillcat Network (www.rsuhillcats.com/live).
