SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - The Rogers State men's soccer team's unbeaten streak ended on Saturday night as John Brown handed the Hillcats a 3-0 defeat, their first road loss of the season.

After falling in their season opener, the Hillcats found a rhythm and didn't suffer a loss until the bout with the Golden Eagles, winning five-straight before tying William Jewell Tuesday.

JBU took control early, scoring the go-ahead goal in the fourth minute of the game off a corner kick. The Hillcats battled throughout the stanza but the Golden Eagles doubled their lead just before intermission with a goal in the 45th minute as Cory Cole slipped the ball just inside the left post from a give-and-go.

Kelvin Omondi earned his first goal of the season and sealed the win for JBU in the 53rd minute.

The Hillcats managed just five shots in the contest, putting three on frame, while JBU fired 14 shots with eight on goal.

Cody Gammill suffered the loss in goal with five saves while Adam Holt earned the shutout victory for JBU with a trio of saves.
