CLAREMORE, Okla. – Senior defender Korie Martin scored a late goal to tie the contest in a 2-2 draw for the Rogers State women's soccer team against Texas A&M International on Thursday (Oct. 20) at Soldier Field.
 
Playing with only 10 players after two yellow cards to Amanda Jones, the Hillcats battled to get the equalizer. Martin put in the tying tally in the 80th minute as her shot went to the lower corner beat the TAMIU goalkeeper for the 2-2 score.
 
Addy Pritchard almost gave RSU the win, but her high arcing shot hit the crossbar early in the second overtime.  
 
The navy and red were the first to strike in the game as Alexis Pryor put the Cats up, 1-0, early in the 10th minute. She hit a shot from 10 yards to the far corner on a pass from Lexi Ellingsen for the early advantage.
 
After the first 45 minutes, RSU continued to hold the 1-0 lead. The Dustdevils, however, totaled two second half goals to go in front, 2-1. Cio Bargallo put in both goals for TAMIU. She knotted the score at 1-1 in the 50th minute, and added her second tally in the 59th minute on a shot from 25 yards that went just under the crossbar.
 
For the contest, the Dustdevils had a 26-11 edge on shots with a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal.
 
Martin had two shots with both on target. Kimberlin Bennett posted two shots as well.
 
Tayler Stover finished the game with seven saves and the two goals allowed in 110 minutes.
