SEARCY, Ark. – The Rogers State Men's Soccer team closed the regular season with a 1-0 loss on the road at Harding University on Saturday.
The Hillcats, who had already locked up the No. 2 seed prior to Saturday's game, outshot Harding 15-11 and had seven corners to just five from the Bisons, but fell on a 24
th minute goal.
Donnell Bowes scored on an assist from Joe Ruedi for the host Bisons midway through the first half, snapping the Hillcats' shutout streak at four games.
Dillon Dean finished the game with four saves in his first loss of the season, dropping to 6-1-0.
Jake Simpson and
Noah Robson led the Hillcats with four shots each in the game.
Rogers State will now await results from Sunday's game between Northeastern State and Ouachita Baptist to find out who they will play in the GAC Semifinals next week. The Hillcats are preliminarily set to played in the semifinal on Friday in Hays, Kansas at Fort Hays State.
