Men’s Track & Field Opens Indoor Season At Crimson & Gold Invitational

PITTSBURG, Kan. - The Rogers State Men's Track and Field team opened up its season on Saturday, with a group of four runners competing in two events at the Crimson & Gold Invitational hosted by Pittsburg State at the Robert W. Plaster Center.
 
Nick Williams, Jackson Stinnett and Justin Noble all ran in the 5,000-meter run for the Hillcats. Williams led the way for Rogers State, running a time of 15:46.69 to finish 14th overall. Williams' time was also the fourth fastest time in the event in school history.
 
Stinnett, who made his debut on the track for the Hillcats set a new personal best in the first section of runners, finishing with a 16:06.83 to win the heat. Stinnett's time was 17th overall in the combined results.
 
Noble also ran in the first section and finished in a time of 17:58.56 to score 34th overall.
 
Ethen Adams also made his debut for the Hillcats on the track, running in the 600-yard run. Adams ran a 1:18.51 to finish 22nd overall in his debut.
 
The Hillcats are schedule to return to the track on January 18 at the Weilert Open hosted by the University of Central Oklahoma.
