CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Rogers State baseball team fell to East Central University, 12-1, on Wednesday. It is the team's first home loss of the season.

How it Happened: The Tigers would take the lead in the first inning against the Hillcats scoring one run. The Hillcats would try to respond in the bottom half, as
Mason Harvey would double to left center, but the team would be unable to capitalize with the runner in scoring position.

With two outs in the second inning, East Central added a run and then an error would help the Tigers extend their inning. ECU would capitalize and score six runs, including five unearned.

The Hillcats would put up their only run of the game in the bottom of the second, as
Kyle Simms hit a home run to right field.

The Tigers would go on to score six more runs in the game, as they won 12-1 after run-rule victory in the seventh.

Players of Note: Kyle Simms would hit his first home run of season. Simms would also have a double in the game, going 2-for-3 from the plate.

Ethan Rivera would go 2-for-2 from the plate with a double for the Hillcats.
