ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Rogers State men's soccer (4-2-5, 2-0-3 GAC/MIAA) closed out the road trip with a dominant 5-0 win over Ouachita Baptist (1-8-2, 1-4-0 GAC/MIAA) on Saturday.
 
In total, four different Hillcats found their way on the scoresheet in the victory. Marcos Vasallo notched his second and third goals of the season while Hugo Martin, Harry Outterside and George Robinson all scored their first goals of the season. Declan Viljoen earned his second-straight clean sheet with four saves on eight shots.
 
From the opening kickoff, RSU applied intense pressure on both the offensive and defensive sides. The Hillcats outshot the Tigers 10-5 in the first half with four shots on goal compared to three. Marcos Vasallo broke the scoreless tie in the 39th minute as he put RSU up 1-0 off a free kick from Luke Morgan.
 
In the second half, the Hillcats kicked the offense into high gear. In the 59th minute, Hugo Martin found paydirt to increase the lead to 2-0. Two minutes later, Vasallo struck again this time with an assist from Matthew Sweetman. In the 65th minute, Harry Outterside poked a ball in off a rebound from a Josh Milla shot off the crossbar. RSU tacked on one final goal in the 75th minute as George Robinson scored with an assist from D'Waylan McIntosh to seal the win at 5-0.
 
The Hillcats will be back in action on Thursday, Oct. 6 as they return home to face off against Newman on Senior Day. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
