NEW ORLEANS – Rogers State women's cross country checks in at No. 8 in the most recent US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Regional Rankings, with the men staying at No. 10.
The women fell one spot from No. 7 in previous rankings. RSU is still the only ranked school from Oklahoma. They are one of four ranked MIAA teams including Pittsburg State (No. 4) and Nebraska-Kearney (No. 6) and Northwest Missouri.
On the men's side, the Hillcats held steady in the poll at No. 10. They are the second highest ranked Oklahoma school behind East Central (No. 2). They are also one of six MIAA schools ranked including Missouri Southern (No. 1), Nebraska-Kearney (No. 3), Pittsburg State (No. 5), Washburn (No. 6) and Emporia State (No. 9).
The Hillcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 as both the men and women close out the regular season in Huntsville, Ala. as they compete in the UAH DII Festival Year Showcase. The first race is scheduled to start at 7:45 a.m.
