CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State women's soccer (4-4-4, 1-2-2 MIAA) fought to a 1-1 draw with Missouri Southern (1-9-1, 1-3-1 MIAA) to close out a four-game homestand on Sunday.

Andrea Egerer found her way onto the scoresheet for the first time this season in the game.

In the first half, the Hillcats applied intense offensive and defensive pressure on the Lions. RSU outshot MSSU 11-1 in the opening 45 minutes with seven shots on goal compared to none. In the 30th minute,
Andrea Egerer found the back of the net on a penalty kick to give the Hillcats a 1-0 lead heading into the half.

The second half was much more evenly matched, with RSU still holding a slight edge in the possession battle. The Hillcats again outshot the Lions 6-4 with two shots on goal compared to one. In the 86th minute, MSSU's Ashley Koepp scored the equalizer and forced the game into a 1-1 draw off a corner kick from Jori Hays.

RSU will return to action on Friday, Oct. 7 as they begin a four-game road trip in Kearney, Neb. As they face off against Nebraska-Kearney. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
