JOPLIN, Mo. – Rogers State men's indoor track and field competed at the Lion Open, hosted by Missouri Southern, on Friday.

In the men's 5,000 meter run,
Tyler Melton won the event with a time of 15:59.13.

In the men's 4,000 medley relay, the team of
Garrison Blanton,
Austin Green,
Collin McHugh and
Blaine Phillippi finished third with a time of 11:11.38. The team of
Morne Scharnick,
Jayden Newkirk,
Preston Turner and
Blake Phillippi finished fourth with a time of 11:15.15.

The Hillcats will be back in action on Fri. Feb. 11 as they travel to Pittsburg, Kan. for the indoor regular season finale at the Seventh Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic, hosted by Pittsburg State. Â
