YUKON, Okla. – Rogers State men's and women's track and field competed at the SCU Paul Parent Invitational on Saturday.
In the women's 4x800 relay, the team of Madison Bradshaw, Tori Wood, Jocelyn Turney and Riley Coleman set a new school record with a time of 9:50.95, surpassing the previous best time of 9:57.63 set by Hannah Anello, Ashley Riggenbach, Brya Nyberg and Tayler Lee in 2021. The team of Nyberg, Anello, Madison Lemons and Riggenbach finished with a time of 10:03.09.
In the women's 1,500 meter, Elena Fries finished fourth with a time of 5:03.39. Aubrey Campos finished 10th with a time of 5:18.22. Sara Crosley finished 11th with a time of 5:20.56. Callie Sellers finished 15th with a time of 5:39.93.
In the women's 800 meter, Bradshaw won the event with a time of 2:21.73. Riggenbach finished fourth with a time of 3:24.80. Campos finished 14th with a time of 2:35.57. Rylee Roberts finished with a new personal best time of 2:45.67.
In the women's 5,000 meter, Elizabeth Ostermaier finished fourth with time of 21:13.39.
In the women's 4x400 relay, the team of Anello, Nyberg, Lemons and Turney finished second with a time of 4:09.41.
On the men's side in the 4x800 relay, the team of Jon Biersdorfer, Collin McHugh, Preston Turner and Carlos Vallejo set a new school record with a time of 8:02.89, surpassing the previous best time of 8:12.33 set by Turner, Julius Oheim, Biersdorfer and Vallejo in 2021. The team of Garrison Blanton, Tyler Melton, Austin Green and Jayden Newkirk finished with a time of 8:28.81.
In the men's 1,500 meter, Blake Phillippi finished 14th with a time of 4:27.26.
In the men's 400 meter, Newkirk finished 12th with a time of 56.66.
In the men's 800 meter, Blanton finished in fifth with a new personal best time of 2:00.08. Melton finished 10th with a time of 2:08.84.
In the men's 4x400 relay, the team of Green, Biersdorfer, McHugh and Vallejo finished fourth with a time of 3:25.46.
The Hillcats will be back in action on Friday, April 15 as they travel to Norman, Okla. to compete in the Sooner Invitational.
