CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State baseball (18-16) took care of business in a 15-0 win over East Central (2-30) on Wednesday.

The Hillcats exploded out of the gates with six runs to dash out to a 6-0 lead.
Gavin Mestas scored the games first run on an error by the shortstop.
Joel Escalante drove in
Jesse Holguin with a RBI single to right.
Prescott Horn plated
Skyler Nelson with a RBI single to right center. Escalante later came in on a RBI bases loaded walk to
Marco Barrera.
Conner Womack and Horn both came in on a Mestas two RBI single through the left side of the infield.

RSU added a run in the second to go up 7-0. Horn plated Escalante with a RBI double to left. They tacked on two more in the third as Mestas launched a two-run homer over the left centerfield wall.

The Hillcats pushed out to an 11-0 margin with two more runs in the fourth. Nelson crossed home on a RBI double to center from Horn. Escalante scored on a sacrifice fly to left by Womack.

RSU put up four more runs in the fifth inning to seal the 15-0 win. Nelson uncorked a three run moonshot to the left field corner that drove in Holguin and Mestas.
Ethan Rivera plated Escalante with a RBI single to center.

Rece Parker (2-3) picked up the win working the first two innings with four strikeouts and only allowing one hit. Colt Bartling (0-6) took the loss.

The Hillcats will be back in action on Friday, April 8 as they travel to Pittsburg, Kan. for a three-game series against Pittsburg State. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
