Jordan Ewig was named MIAA Pitcher of the Week, the league announced on Monday. This is his second such honor of the season.

The Fallbrook, Calif. native led the Hillcats to series opening victory over Northwest Missouri last Friday. The senior was turned in a stellar performance on the mound allowing just one run with four strikeouts in a 6.0 inning start leading RSU to a 7-1 victory. With the win, Ewig finished the regular season with a 7-4 record and lowered his ERA to 4.32.

The Hillcats will begin their postseason journey as the No. 7-seed in the MIAA Tournament on Friday, May 6 as they start a best-of-three series against No. 2-seed Northeastern State. First pitch for game one is set for 2 p.m.
