Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Rogers State men's soccer (2-1-1) drew 1-1 against Drury (2-1-1) on the road on Saturday night.
 
Josh Milla scored the lone goal for the Hillcats. Declan Viljoen (2-1-1) was solid in goal as he made three saves and only allowed the one Panthers goal.
 
The game began with both teams feeling each other out in the early going. Drury would breakthrough first as they scored the game's first goal in the 24th minute. RSU responded quickly as just three minutes later Josh Milla found the back of the net for the equalizer in the 27th minute to knot things at 1-1. In total, the Hillcats outshot the Panthers 6-3 in the half, with four shots on goal compared to one.
 
The second half devolved into a defensive stalemate as both sides struggled for offensive chances in the final 45 minutes. In fact, Drury out shot RSU 7-5 in the period, with three shots on goal compared to just one.
 
The Hillcats will return home to Soldier Field on Wednesday, Sept. 7 as they play host to Oklahoma Christian in a non-conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
