CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State men's soccer (9-5-2, 6-4 GAC/MIAA) came away with a 2-1 victory over Ouachita Baptist (0-14-3, 0-9-2 GAC/MIAA) in the regular season road finale on Saturday.

Two Hillcats found their way onto the scoresheet with
Luke Morgan and
Ryan Harvatin scoring their second and third goals of the season, respectively.
Declan Viljoen (8-5) made two saves while allowing one goal.

The game got off to a lightning quick start as the Tigers marched down the field and found the back of the net in just the second minute for an early 1-0 lead. In the 13th minute, RSU answered as they earned their first penalty kick of the season with Morgan leveling the score at 1-1. From there, the two sides settled in with the Hillcats outshooting OBU 8-5 in the period, with four shots on goal compared to three.

The second half saw RSU take the game over on both sides of the field as they cranked up both the offensive and defensive pressure. The Hillcats outshot the Tigers 12-3 in the final 45 minutes, with two shots on target to none. In the 63rd minute, Harvatin scored the game winner with a header after a cross into the box from
Matthew Sweetman and header pass from
Marcos Vasallo to claim the 2-1 victory.

The Hillcats return home on Thursday, Nov. 2 as they play host to Newman on Senior Day. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
