WICHITA, Kan. – Rogers State men's and women's track and field broke four school records at the KT Woodman Classic on Friday.
Ian Conder got things started in the men's 800m finishing eighth with a new school record time of 1:54.35, surpassing
Carlos Vallejo's record of 1:54.86 set last season. Nathaneal Gibson finished 20th with a new personal best time of 1:57.60.
In the women's 1,500 meter,
Katie Byrd finished seventh breaking her own school record with a new best time of 4:39.20, she set the previous record of 4:39.87 last season.
In the women's 5,000 meter,
Tori Wood finished second with a new school record time of 17:28.91, topping
Brianna DeAngelis' record of 17:33.68 set earlier this season.
Gloria Butts finished in 12th with a new outdoor personal best time of 17:58.50.
Ashley Riggenbach finished in 15th with a new personal best time of 18:12.70.
In the women's 10,000 meter,
Brianna DeAngelis finished fifth with a new school record time of 36:39.28, besting the previous record of 37:28.43 that she set last season.
In the men's 5,000 meter,
Kory Wilson finished in 23rd with a new season best time of 15:19.90.
Blake Feron finished in 28th with a time of 15:29.27.
The Hillcats will be back in action on Friday, April 14 as they travel to Norman, Okla. to compete in the Sooner Invitational.
