PITTSBURG, Kan. – Rogers State men's and women's track and field saw one school record and several personal bests fall on the final day of the Ninth Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic on Saturday.

The highlight of the day came in the men's 800 meter, as
Ian Conder broke his own school record finishing in 11th place with a time of 1:53.01, besting his previous record of 1:53.30 that he set last season at the MIAA Indoor Championships.
Jon Biersdorfer finished in 23rd with a new personal best time of 1:54.42, surpassing his previous best by 0.53 seconds, after running in the Distance Medley Relay yesterday.
Carlos Vallejo finished in 44th with a time of 1:57.00.
Blake Feron finished in 57th with a time of 1:58.48.
Nathaneal Gibson finished in 61st with a time of 1:59.48.

In the men's 3,000 meter,
Kyle Ginn finished in 26th with a new personal best time of 8:43.81, 3.94 seconds faster than his previous best.
Jackson Stinnett finished close behind in 27th with a time of 8:44.61.

In the women's 3,000 meter,
Gloria Butts finished eighth with a new personal best time of 10:09.40, 2.00 seconds faster than her previous best and just 1.28 seconds off the school record.
Brianna DeAngelis-Stinnett finished in 12th with a time of 10:15.05.
Rayna Kucharyski finished in 14th with a new personal best time of 10:22:59, 4.00 seconds faster than her previous best. All three turned in strong performances after running in the 5,000 meter yesterday.
Tori Wood rounded out the group in 19th with a time of 10:26.64.

In the women's mile,
Cadence Cordova finished ninth with a new personal best time of 5:00.92, which is just 3.82 seconds off the school record for the second fastest time in school history.
Jillian Skalicky finished in 16th with a new season best time of 5:06.73.

In the men's mile,
Malik Bridgeman finished in 65th with a time of 4:26.82.
Casey Little finished in 67th with a time of 4:27.99.

The Hillcats will now turn their attention to and train for the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Topeka, Kan. beginning on Friday, Feb. 23.
