EDMOND, Okla. – Rogers State baseball (20-17, 11-14 MIAA) could not contain the offense of No. 18 Central Oklahoma (31-9, 17-8 MIAA) as they fell 11-0 in the first game of a three-game set on Friday.

Scoring at least once in all seven innings, the Bronchos got started with a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Two sacrifice flies to right and center, respectively, scored the runs. They added a run in the second to go up 3-0 with a leadoff solo homer to right.

The Bronchos busted the game open in third as they pushed across three runs to go up 6-0 thanks to a three-run blast to left center.

UCO added two runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 8-0 lead with two more solo homers.

They ended the game in the seventh with three final runs to seal the 11-0 win.

The Hillcat offense was held in check for most of the game as they were only able to record three hits. They're best opportunity to score came at the beginning of the game as both
AJ Folds and
Jake Mitchell reached with singles and one out.
Joel Escalante worked a 3-1 walk to load the bases with two outs, but unfortunately a strikeout ended the scoring opportunity.

Brady Gilmore (3-0) earned the win.
Blake Johnson (3-4) took the loss.
