CLAREMORE, Okla. – Rogers State men's cross country and track and field had four student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's Cross Country and Track & Field teams, selected by CSC, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. To qualify for this honor, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore athletically and academically or be a transfer student with at least a 3.50 GPA. For cross country and track and field, student-athletes must rank in the top 50 in the region in an individual event or finish in the top 50 at the NCAA regional cross country championships according to TFRRS.org.
Jon Biersdorfer qualified in two events in the outdoor 800 meter (21st, 1:52.95) and the indoor 800 meter (29th, 1:54.42).
Ian Conder qualified in two events as well in the outdoor 800 meter (16th, 1:52.07) and the indoor 800 meter (18th, 1:53.01).
Carlos Vallejo qualified in the outdoor 800 meter (39th, 1:54.69).
Kyle Woodward qualified in the outdoor 10,000 meter (38th, 32:32.67).
CSC was founded in 1957 and is a 3,200-plus member national organization comprised of the sports public relations, media relations and communications/information professionals throughout all levels of collegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The second oldest management association in all of intercollegiate athletics, CSC became an affiliated partner with NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) in December of 2008.
