LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Rogers State softball begins the 2025 season ranked No. 9 in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll, the organization announced on Tuesday.

After finishing the 2024 season with MIAA Regular Season and Tournament Championships and making it to the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship for the second time in three years, the Hillcats were picked No. 9 by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Committee. RSU is the highest-ranked team from the MIAA in the poll ahead of No. 25 Central Oklahoma and Pittsburg State, who received votes. They are also the second highest-ranked team in the Central Region behind No. 7 Augustana and ahead of No. 20 Southern Nazarene and UCO.

The Hillcats will open the season on the road on Jan. 31 as they travel south to Gulf Shores, Ala. to compete in the Gulf Shores Invitational. They will face off against West Alabama and No. 6 Auburn Montgomery on the first day of the tournament.
