CLAREMORE, Okla. – Men's and women's basketball will kick off the week at the 2025 MIAA Media Week, while the Hillcat soccer and cross country teams will return to action during a mild week on the Hill.
All Rogers State students, faculty, and staff are eligible for free admission for themselves and one additional guest to all home sporting events.
MIAA BASKETBALL MEDIA DAY
Members from the RSU men's and women's basketball teams will head to the College Basketball Experience in downtown Kansas City for the 2025 MIAA Basketball Media Day on Monday, Oct. 6. Head coaches Justin Barkley and Heather Davis will hit the podium at 10:15 a.m.

AN IN-STATE CLASH WITH THE CRIMSON STORM
No. 8 RSU men's soccer (7-1-2, 3-1 GAC/MIAA) heads to Bethany, Oklahoma, on Saturday at 7 p.m. to take on the Southern Nazarene Crimson Storm (4-3-2, 2-1-1 GAC/MIAA). The Hillcats are coming off a 1-1 week, having fallen to No. 13 Fort Hays State, 4-0, on Thursday before bouncing back with a 3-1 win over Newman on Homecoming Saturday. Last season, the two teams shared the GAC/MIAA Regular Season Championship, and the Hillcats secured their first-ever win in the NCAA Tournament in an overtime thriller against SNU.

'RUNNING' IT BACK IN ARKANSAS
Hillcat cross country will have one final tune-up in the Natural State before the MIAA Championship on Oct. 25. They are set to compete at the Golden Eagle Invitational hosted by John Brown University at Pollard's Field in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, on Saturday, Oct. 11. The No. 19 women's team will hit the starting line at 8 a.m., followed by the men's team at 8:45 a.m.
BRING ON THE BEARCATS
Women's soccer is also coming off a 1-1 week after falling to Pittsburg State, 3-0, on Friday before collecting its first win of the season against Missouri Southern with a decisive 2-0 victory on Sunday at Soldier Field. They will face the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats (6-2, 3-0 MIAA) at 1 p.m. from Soldier Field. The Bearcats hold a 5-0 series advantage heading into the contest.
