KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The United Soccer Coaches (USC) released its final Top 25 poll of the 2025 campaign, and Rogers State men's soccer (14-4-5, 8-2-2 GAC/MIAA) achieved its highest-ever ranking, finishing sixth.
Head coach
Jake Simpson's first season at the helm will be forever etched in history. The Hillcats hosted the first three rounds of the NCAA Tournament, where they secured wins over No. 17 Cedarville (1-0) and No. 15 Lincoln (1-0) to advance to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals. Rogers State also finished second in the GAC/MIAA regular season and tournament standings.
Alex Laing collected the program's first GAC/MIAA Defensive Player of the Year honor, while
Louis Bassett and
Artur Carvalho were named to the All-GAC/MIAA First Team.
The Hillcats boasted four All-Americans this season. Laing was named a D2CCA All-America Second Team selection, and Bassett earned USC All-America Third Team honors. Just yesterday,
Brandon O'Rourke (Second Team) and
Jaxon Kendall (Third Team) were recognized as College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans.
