LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Rogers State softball climbed to No. 7 in the first National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Poll of the regular season, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The Hillcats moved up one spot from No. 8 last week, starting the season with an 8-3 record. RSU remains the highest-ranked MIAA team in the poll ahead of No. 13 Central Oklahoma and Pittsburg State, who received votes. They are the second highest in the Central Region behind No. 6 Augustana and ahead of No. 17 Harding in addition to UCO and PSU.

The Hillcats will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 28 as they travel to Kansas City, Mo. to play in the Top Gun Midwest College Classic where they will face off against Maryville and Minnesota State on the first day. The game against Maryville is set to start at 4 p.m. with the game against Minnesota State set for 6:30 p.m.
