OWASSO, Okla. – Rogers State men's golf captured their fourth-straight Hillcat Classic win in the 10th annual playing of the tournament that wrapped up on Tuesday.

"This is a good win for us," said head coach
Steve Brown. "It's a small tournament, but there were quite a few teams who have been playing some good golf this Spring. Elliot came through as usual, but we also had some good individual performances that led to the team victory. It seemed like everyone played well when they needed to, and that's what you have to do to win as a team. It was another solid week for freshman
Callum Brown, who is learning and improving with each tournament."

After three rounds at the par 71, 6,486 yard Bailey Ranch Golf Club, the Hillcats claimed the team title after turning in a card of 847 (-5).

Elliot-Han Monteremal won the individual title after shooting 208 (-5) for the tournament. The senior shot impressive scores of 67 (-4) and 68 (-3) in the second and third rounds, with 12 total birdies across the three rounds.

Callum Brown finished in a tie for eighth with a card of 214 (+1).
Jack Roche and
Tyler Collier both tied for 16th with cards of 218 (+5).
Kaden Armstrong finished right behind in a four-way tie for 18th with a 219 (+6).
Pedro Benjumea rounded out the squad in a tie for 36th with a 230 (+17).

The Hillcats are back in action on Monday, March 31 as they travel to Hays, Kan. for the Tiger Classic at Smoky Hill Country Club.
