Armstrong, Monteremal and Roche Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

Hillcat trio displayed excellence on the course and in the classroom

NORMAN, Okla. – Rogers State men's golfers Kaden Armstrong, Elliot-han Monteremal and Jack Roche have been named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The Hillcat trio were among the 198 NCAA Division II athletes from 76 institutions who received the 2024-25 Cobalt All-America Scholar honor for the 2024-25 academic year. With this being his third selection, Monteremal became the second Hillcat to achieve this distinction three times in his career, joining Ty Nicar (2020-24).
 
To qualify for the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, athletes must be sophomores, juniors or seniors in NCAA Divisions I, II, III or NAIA, or in their final year in NJCAA. They must compete in 50% of their team's rounds, have a stroke average below 78.0 in NCAA Division II and maintain a GPA of at least 3.2, along with demonstrating good moral character and standing at their institution.
