KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) released its 2025 Men's Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Poll, and Rogers State was selected to finish ninth.
RSU earned a total of 42 points, finishing ahead of Emporia State (32 Points), Newman (22 Points) and Arkansas-Fort Smith (12 Points). The Hillcats notched a ninth-place finish at the MIAA Championship last season in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Defending champions Northwest Missouri State are the favorites to win the conference, receiving 118 points and 10 first-place votes in the poll. Pittsburg State follows closely in second place with 111 points and two first-place votes, while Nebraska-Kearney (95 points) Washburn (91 points) and Missouri Southern (79 points) complete the top five.
Rogers State will kick off the season by hosting the RSU Distance After Dark meet in Tulsa on Thursday, September 4, at the Mohawk Sports Complex. Race time is scheduled to begin at 10:30 p.m.
