AZUSA, Calif. – Senior
Nathaneal Gibson added another outdoor school record, as Hillcat track and field concluded action at the Bryan Clay Invitational held at Cougar Athletic Stadium.
Gibson excelled in the 1500 meters Open B, claiming 26th place and setting a new school record with a time of 3:50.46. In the 1500 meters Open C,
Blake Feron took 42nd with a time of 3:56.51, while
Clint Stapleton placed 120th in 4:02.52.
In the men's 400 meters,
Phillip Owens finished 34th with a time of 48.38 seconds - just shy of a personal best.
On the women's side,
Cadence Cordova finished 76th in the 1500 meters Open A, clocking in at 4:33.33.
Sisely Mitchell competed in the 1500 meters Open B, finishing 166th in 4:48.02.
In the 1500 meters Open C,
Brooklyn Garafola finished fifth with a personal best of 4:37.80.
Kaylee Nay also set a personal best, placing 14th in 4:40.93, while
Brooke Martin secured 92nd with a personal best of 4:51.79.
Rogers State will begin postseason competition May 1-3 at the MIAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Pittsburg, Kansas.
