WINGATE, N.C. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released its Week 11 poll on Wednesday, and Hillcat Baseball moved up a spot to sixth, earning 398 points.
In the NCBWA Central Region rankings, RSU held onto the top spot with 98 points and nine first-place votes. The other teams rounding out the region's top five are Pittsburg State, Minnesota State, Central Missouri and Augustana.
In national rankings, Colorado Mesa continues to lead with 500 points and all 20 first-place votes, followed by defending national champion Tampa with 475 points and North Greenville with 461 points. Other MIAA schools in the rankings include Pittsburg State at ninth and Central Missouri at 21
st.
The Hillcats (37-7, 22-4 MIAA) secure the season series sweep over Arkansas-Fort Smith with an 8-3 victory in their regular-season home finale this afternoon. Starting pitcher

Nathan Gutierrez also shined with his ninth home run of the season.
Additionally, Rogers State ranks fifth in this week's American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Week 10 poll with 260 points.
