PITTSBURG, Kan. — Rogers State Softball's (37-21) memorable 2026 campaign came to an to No. 17 Pittsburg State (46-10) in a tightly contested 1–0 game on Friday during the NCAA Central Regional. The Hilcats recorded four hits but failed to score, while the Gorillas secured a 1-0 victory with a run in the seventh inning.
RSU battled Pitt State in a tightly contested matchup that remained scoreless through six innings. In the seventh, the Gorillas broke the deadlock when MIAA Player of the Year Heather Arnett scored on a sacrifice fly by Kadyn Trochim. The Hilcats had an opportunity in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded, but could not capitalize.
Harley Culie (21-11) pitched a complete game in her final outing for the Red and Navy, allowing only one earned run over 7.0 innings. Culie surrendered nine hits and issued four walks. Although she did not record any strikeouts, Culie displayed endurance and command, throwing 101 pitches with 54 for strikes. The Peggs, Oklahoma, native and two-time All-MIAA selection leaves a lasting legacy on the Hill for her four-year contribution to the pitching staff.

Raelle Gorman wrapped up a memorable career in her final game. The Temecula, California, native played just one season at RSU but had several highlight moments, including her first home run during the MIAA Tournament semifinal win over Central Oklahoma and a two-home-run performance against Pitt State yesterday.
At the plate this afternoon,
Saylor Brown contributed with one hit and two walks, while also catching a base stealer.
Baylee King added to the team's efforts with one hit in the game.
Jaden Jordan recorded a hit and was involved in a fielding double play at first base.
