ANDOVER, Kan. - Hillcat Women's Golf finished sixth at the MIAA Conference Preview at Terradyne CC on Tuesday.
The Hillcats jumped one spot to sixth with a 290 (+6) in the second round, bringing their two-round card to 586 (+18). Southwestern Oklahoma State won the tournament with a 574 (+6) scorecard. Wayne State (Neb.) (+11) finished second, followed by Central Oklahoma (+12) in third.
Junior
Milena Andres led the team with a tie for sixth, jumping five spots after shooting even par in round two. The Tigre, Argentina, native finished with a tournament scorecard of 143 (+1) that consisted of six birdies and an eagle.
Sophomore
Lou Fourdan tied for 15th with a two-round scorecard of 146 (+4), featuring three total birdies. Finishing one stroke behind her, tied for 22nd, was defending MIAA Co-Golfer of the Week senior
Lauren Anderson, who finished with a total tally of 147 (+5) after shooting even par in round two.
Sophomore
Clara Ledun finished tied for 48th at 153 (+11), while freshman
Renoctoviana Said rounded out the team with a 67th-place finish at 159 (+17). Competing individually, sophomore
Lara Foigel finished tied for 27th with a two-round card of 148 (+6).
RSU will return to action on Oct. 11-13 at the Central Region Preview, held at Meadowlark Hills GC in Kearney, Nebraska.
