About: Thomas joins the track and field team following a four-year career with the Hillcat soccer program. She was named Third-Team All-Heartland Conference in 2014 after leading RSU with eight goals, five assists, and 21 points while starting all 17 matches. The Grove, Oklahoma native started all 17 matches as a junior in 2013 and was one of two players to reach double-figure scoring with 11 points behind four goals and three assists. Thomas posted a single-game, career-best six points tallying two goals and two assists against Bacone. She earned the starting nod in 16 of her 17 appearances in 2012 as a sophomore after starting all 20 matches in the midfield for the Hillcats as a true freshman in 2011. Thomas joined RSU after an impressive prep career at Grove High School scoring 49 goals in her four years being named to the all-state squad as a senior. She served as team captain in both her junior and senior seasons while earning team MVP and Offensive Player of the Year recognition. Thomas was an all-state student-athlete in not only soccer, but also cross country and track, while holding the career record for goals at Grove. She also played club soccer for Blitz United. The daughter of Robert and Winifred Thomas, she said she chose RSU because "I liked the feel of the campus."
