Biography

About: Reyes is back on the Hill for his final season with the RSU cross country team after taking a redshirt in 2013 competing twice unattached. He earned a spot on the Heartland Conference Academic All-Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll last year. He also was a 2013 NAIA Track and Field National Championship qualifier in the marathon. The Oklahoma City, Okla., native ran a personal-best 8k time of 26:33 at the OBU Bison Invitational in 2012 during his junior campaign. His top result since joining RSU came as a sophomore in 2011 where he placed 19th at the season-opening Cameron Aggie Showdown. Reyes was named to the Dean's Honor Roll in 2013 and previously served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Prior to coming to RSU, he had times of 4:58 in the 1600 meters, 10:38 in the 3200 meters, and 17:47 in the 5000 meters as a senior at Northwest Classen High School. He placed 3rd all-city in all three events in the Oklahoma Class 5A division. The son of Eva Coronado, he said he chose RSU because of "the good business program and the first year cross country program."
