Biography

About: Felipe burst onto the scene her freshman year winning the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship and being named RSU Runner of the Year. A national qualifier, Felipe finished 53rd the ninth best finish by any freshman at the NAIA National Championship. She came to Rogers State after a standout career at Poteau High School running for coach Tim Hall. Brenda is a two-time Oklahoma runner-up in cross country. As a senior competing in track, Felipe finished second in the State Finals two-mile event and fourth in the one mile contest.  She earned All-State honors all four years at Poteau. Born in Hope, Ark. She lived in Mexico as a child. Brenda claims to love watermelon more than anything. Felipe said she chose RSU because “the coach seemed really cool.”
