Green joins the Rogers State baseball coaching staff in 2020-21 as a graduate assistant. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native joins the Hillcats after a nine year professional playing career that reached as high as AAA with the Toledo MudHens.

The Berryhill (Tulsa) High School product played at Oklahoma State and then at Barry University, where he was named the 2011 Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year and a Consensus DII All-American ahead of being drafted in the 11th round of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Detroit Tigers. Green spent six seasons in the Tigers organization, climbing as high as AAA Toledo where he hit .294 in 84 games over two seasons.

The designated hitter and first baseman would be named the Detroit Tigers AA Player of the Year in 2016, as well as a MiLB.com Organizational All-Star. He was selected to three minor league mid-season all-star teams.

Following his time in the Tigers organization, Green played professionally internationally in the Japanese Major Leagues for Yakult Swallows before joining the Tijuana Toros in the Mexican Major Leagues.

Green wrapped up his professional career hitting .304 in 818 games across all levels of professional baseball with 113 career home runs, 554 RBIs and a .371 on-base percentage.

Green resides in Claremore with his wife Shanna and their three children.
