Jimmy Rogers is in his 14th season at RSU as an assistant coach after joining the Hillcats’ coaching staff in 2007 helping tutor the pitching staff.
Rogers brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the professional baseball ranks after spending two seasons in Major League Baseball with the Toronto Blue Jays. He was originally drafted by the Blue Jays in the 16th round of the 1986 amateur draft and made his MLB debut July 30, 1995 against the Oakland Athletics.
A 1985 graduate of Tulsa Webster High School, Rogers was an all-state selection while leading the Warriors to a state championship. Prior to being drafted by the Blue Jays, he spent two seasons pitching for Seminole State College. He currently lives in Beggs, Oklahoma.
