Mac Orr joined the Rogers State Men's Soccer coaching staff in August and is in his first season with the Hillcats..
Orr came to Rogers State after spending three years as an assistant coach with Tulsa Roughnecks FC on the United Soccer League. While with the Roughnecks, Orr also served the team as the Performance Analysis Director and the Director of Personal Player Development.
During part of his time with the Roughnecks, Orr also worked with the Oral Roberts University Men’s Soccer program, serving as an assistant coach for the Golden Eagles from 2013-2016, working heavily in the recruiting aspect and in team logistics.
Orr stepped into the coaching role after wrapping up his playing career with Oral Roberts in 2013. The midfielder played two seasons for the Golden Eagles. At Oral Roberts, Orr was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and also was heavily involved with the French and Spanish Club, becoming business proficient in both languages.
The South Jackson, Mississippi native came to the Tulsa area after transferring from Holmes Community College in Mississippi.
Over the last seven years, Orr has also worked heavily in the youth ranks with Blitz United and Oklahoma City Energy FC as a youth staff coach and college prep coordinator. In 2018 he joined the women’s development academy program as a staff coach as well.
Orr holds a United States Soccer Federation “B” Coaching License. He graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Oral Roberts.
